In reply to JMANS.

Hey Jmans,

The CSR Elite in FM4 was a classic. If you remember In FM4 to use the auto-clutch you had to select a specific wheel layout in the game because you had to have it set up so that the "a" button was the clutch or it wouldn't work.

Unfortunately the new Fanatec wheel doesn't allow for this. the only way I have ever seen anyone do this so far is by modding their Fanatec wheel. Which honestly you need to have some knowledge of electronics and confidence to mess with your gear. While I am somewhat comfortable with that kind of stuff depending on the difficulty I am not about to take apart a $1,400 wheel to add auto-clutch and for that kind of money you shouldn't have to. For me personally it's not an issue because it is not a feature that I use...however now that you reminded me of that I am going to go back to my review and list that amongst my cons.

The Thrustmaster TX added the auto-clutch in it's 2014 firmware update took care of the issue. Here is some info about the auto-clutch on the TX:

I understand your concerns with the TX wheel in long endurance races. I have had mine since April 2013 and have easily logged over 500 hours on it with no issues. The only issue I really have in long races isn't with the the TX itself, it is with Forza. Usually after racing for an hour or so, the game makes the force feedback pull the wheel to the left. Turn 10 is aware of the issue, but hasn't fixed the bug yet. the issue is pretty annoying, but Forza 6 is the only game this seems to be a problem on.

Hope that is helpful. Let me know if you have any further questions,

trying to decide this right now. I had the csr elite on f4 and loved it. The only thing holding me back on fanatec is lack of auto clutch. wtf. Is there more precision with fanatec in f6? I'm afraid endurance races would burn tx out but I'd like to have auto clutch. I also wonder if the auto clutch feature on thrustmaster works like forza 4 where when you hold the paddle in its like pushing the clutch in and holding it or how the feature functions.

Can you help?
