In reply to Patrick Smith.

Hey Patrick,

I understand your hesitation. Both wheels are pretty great and so far I have not had an issue with either one of them. My Thrustmaster TX I have had since April 2013 and the G920 since Oct 2015. The TX is a better wheel in most aspects; force feedback is stronger, pedals has a higher bit resolution, you can change out rims, add a 7 speed shifter, and upgrade the pedals to an invertable set. But with all that being said the warranty on the G920 wheel is one year longer, which I agree with you is a significant factor when spending that kind of money!!

Despite the fact that the TX is my favorite wheel, tons of people love the G920. It is a great wheel and Logitech has solid customer service. If you got the G920, I think you will be happy with it. Just cause it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of the TX, you may feel better about having the piece of mind knowing that if something did go wrong with it, you have coverage.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Regards,
James

I'm torn between theses two wheels. I've never used a wheel before but would definitely like to start. I know the Thrustmaster has the better internal tech but I've read they have more mechanical problems than the Logitech. That they don't last as long. The Thrustmaster only has one year warranty but Logitech has two years. I figure the racing experience might be slightly better with Thrustmaster but $500 for something fhat may die in a year is a lot of money.

In reply to Johnny.

Hey Johnny,

Thanks for the comment. The G920 is not too bad, but compared to Fanatec and Thrustmaster it's not as good. What makes it a decent wheel in my opinion is that it has a good price point for coming with a 3 pedal set. What I think makes the other wheels better is that they are expandable with pedal options multiple rims, etc..

The load cell T3PA's Pro mod is awesome, I got mine from Ricmotech. Having the brake pedal mod will shave seconds off your lap times. Best pedals I have ever had!

I agree! I heard about the G920 during E3 announcement and I really hope it would be an "outstanding" unit. So finally when it was released I got the set from Fry's electronic.

Sum it in one word, "disappointment". The wheel felt ok, but the helical gear is just.... noisy. Pedals are ok. Mostly plastic. Fry's ran out of the shifter.

What really killed it for me is the lack of support for PC racing games. Some of the newer games works, for the most part. But WRC 5, F1 2015 and few titles had NO support. Logitech support was absolutely helpless.

So I returned it after around the 30 days.

I got the TX Racing Servo Base + 28 GT Leather Wheel, T3PA-Pro, and the TH8A Shifter and never looked back. It's no CSW v2 wheel but it's 350% cheaper

Gonna get the Load Cell mod and it will be pretty damn good.
